According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), wetlands are semi aquatic lands that are flooded periodically during the growing season. When not flooded, wetland soils are often saturated near the
surface.

In the past, wetlands were viewed by many as useless, unproductive,
mosquito breeding, swamp areas. Today, the environmental importance of wetlands is widely recognized, and Federal regulations impose harsh
penalties for the destruction of wetlands. Violators can be fined or
imprisoned.

The professionals at Lee-Simpson Associates, Inc. are keenly aware of the nationwide concern for wetland preservation and can offer advice and assistance to governmental bodies and private owners where wetland issues are encountered.

It is the intent of Lee-Simpson Associates, Inc. to advise our clientele of the potential for damage and to assist in developing
viable alternates and mitigation strategies before substantial
investments have been committed.

  • Wetland Delineation
  • Wetland Evaluation
  • Wetland Permitting
